The company’s team is closely monitoring the situation surrounding COVID-19 and is following recommendations made by the CDC (The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention). As the company continues to operate and visit customers’ homes, they wanted to share a list of steps that they have implemented to provide a safe experience for customers and field personnel.
Ensuring safety during home visits
COVID-19 (Coronavirus) affects carriers of the virus in different ways and not everyone has the same symptoms, so the company has asked all employees, including field professionals (techs, IAQ, installers, outside sales representatives, and field managers), to stay home if they are not feeling well. Mentioned below is a detailed list of the team’s safety protocols that are strictly being followed:
- All employees are temperature checked and asked about signs/symptoms of illness daily, before they begin work.
- All field team members are required to be wearing a face mask/shield at all times, while on the job.
- To keep everyone safe and healthy, the company has also asked field personnel to refrain from shaking hands with home owners.
- All field employees are wiping down the exterior handles and interior truck/vehicle cabs with disinfecting wipes, so as to ensure no germs or bacteria are transferred from home to home.
- The company has asked all field personnel to sanitize their hands and to wear gloves and shoe covers, every time they enter a home.
- The company’s field team members will be disinfecting thermostats and other touchable surfaces at home if they come into contact.
- Additionally, the company is also asking all home owners to reschedule appointments, if they are exhibiting any potential COVID-19 symptoms.
