EEBUS Initiative e.V. and BDH demonstration show networked energy management in the house and in the smart grid/lecture program on digital heating and sector coupling. Digital heating will play an important role at the IFH Intherm 2018 trade fair from April 10 to April 13, 2018, in Nuremberg, Germany.

Heating in smart homes

The EEBUS initiative e.V., together with the Federation of German Heating Industry (BDH), will be showing the possibilities that heating will offer in the smart home of the future at its booth 4.304 in Hall 4.

Networking is used for efficiency in the house and stability in the network. On the basis of a cross-sector demonstration with series-ready products from many member companies and partners, it is possible to see how, for example, a heat pump can be dynamically controlled in the future in interaction with other energy consumers with variable energy volumes.

Heat pump operation using self-generated electricity

EEBUS initiative e.V. acts as the ‘world language for energy in the Internet of Things

The heat pump can be operated using self-generated electricity from the roof. The energy distribution between the heating system and large consumers, such as an e-car charging station, will also be demonstrated in practice, as part of the demonstration.

EEBUS initiative e.V. acts as the ‘world language for energy in the Internet of Things. It offers an open standard for cross-manufacturer communication between energy consumers and producers from different industries and is, therefore, an important component in achieving the goals of the energy transition.

Lecture program at the ‘Handwerk’ forum at booth 4.100 in Hall 4 will include:

  • Lecture: The EEBUS demonstrator - Illustration of energy management in the smart home, Dieter Kehren, Bundesverband der Deutschen Heizungsindustrie eV (BDH)
  • Afterward, there will be a live demo of the energy management with EEBUS at the booth of the BDH (4.304) - right next to the lecture stage.
