In an effort to help residents stay cool and safe this summer, Ameren Illinois is donating 500 ENERGY STAR®-rated window air conditioners to community action agencies across the state.

The agencies will distribute the units to their local client families and individuals who meet Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) guidelines, including veterans and those with disabilities.

  • Crosswalk in West Frankfort
  • East Central Illinois Community Action Agency in Danville
  • Empowerment Opportunity Center in Decatur
  • Madison County Community Development in Edwardsville
  • Peoria Citizens Committee for Economic Opportunity
  • St. Clair County Community Action Agency in Belleville
  • Two Rivers in Quincy

3,000 air conditioners donated

Since 2013, Ameren Illinois has donated more than 3,000 air conditioners to residents across its service territory.

Energy Assistance programs are also available to assist Ameren Illinois customers.
